Trip to Mancura, Peru. Very desolate country, hardly anything grows here except a tree which looks very much to me like Mesquite. The wood is very dark red, hard and beautiful. Even the smoke of it smells to me like Mesquite. Down here they call it huarango. It apparently ruled the desert around here until it was over harvested for charcoal, building materials and for food.
