Tristan has been without oxygen for over 24 hours with his pulse ox never below 94% even during exercise. So what does this mean? A lot really. After his aspiration, the lung doctor did not think Tristan could live without a trach but he has not had one since mid April. He also did not think Tristan would learn to cough effectively. Well he has been coughing great after we stopped the mucinex so guess the doctor was wrong about that too. Tristan has been very verbal today but it is all mumbled. He even talked to tori and he usually just looks at her.
