Tristan hasnt been able to eat hard candy due to the seizures. I guess when you know you cant have something, you crave it more. Well, shes been wanting peppermint for weeks now. So Tuesday, I took her to the Dollar store & got her a big peppermint stick. You would have thought Id got her a million dollars or something!! I told her that was her treat for walking without the walker. Shes doing great with her walking. She goes very slow up & down our door steps cause she doesnt have the greatest balance, but shes doing great with it!! Yesterday, was a very bad day with the seizures.... she was having them every couple of minutes thru out the whole day. The pain was worse in her head as well. I personally think weve handled Tristans situation well, but Im not gonna lie... days like yesterday, and watching her have that many seizures, I could just fall in the floor & cry a river!! Tristan is very excited about Christmas & that makes me excited! Shes received a few Christmas cards from some of you, and she LOVES IT!! Every day when we go to the mailbox, shell say, did I get any mail? You all help keep her spirits up more than you know. Thank you!!! :) I did FINALLY get Tristans medical records!!! Yay!! You wouldnt believe how ugly I had to get to get them though! Seriously... Ridiculous!!! Tristan did get approved for medicaid. Thank You Jesus!! She also got approved to continue her speech therapy thru the end of May 2015. We cant tell that its helping all that much, but in time, her speech will be restored! We have to believe!! This weather isnt good at all for Tristans head. Several evenings this week shes cried with her shunt hurting her & tingling & she says it keeps getting tight. Im wondering if the constant changes in the weather & barometric pressure has something to do with this. ?? So far, this morning Tristan is very happy! However, she seems like shes back on the 5 year old level. Not sure what changes from minute to minute, or day to day to make her on these younger levels, but we just take it as it comes & do the best we can with it.
