True story: last night, my ex-wife and I went to this financial mediator so we could talk about some boring money things with an impartial third party, and within two minutes of meeting him, the mediator--a fairly large, older man--had told us about being a self-published author, a former youth pastor, a former lawyer, a former judge, and a former magician. He, also, apropos of basically nothing, told us he had once slept with experimental musician Björk. He said she was a real interesting girl--though she never would wear that dress I liked, heh heh heh. Then he showed us some sweet magic tricks. He set a nickel on his desk, then hit the desk, and then the nickel was UNDER THE DESK. Then he put the nickel in one ear and pulled it out of, wait for it, THE OTHER EAR. Then he did some other tricks with the nickel.
