True worship – Part 3 Behold, there came a ruler (Jairus), and worshipped Him(Jesus), saying, “My daughter is even now dead:but come and lay Your hand upon her, and she shall live.” Matthew 9:17 Jairus made the right choice and came to Jesus. In his worst time, he didnt complain against God nor did he stop going to God. Instead he took a desperate step. Many of Jairus friends might have told Jairus about Jesus, but that time he might have been scared to go to Jesus, thinking what the people would say? He might have thought about what the other rulers and his colleagues might say? His daughter was not keeping well and Jairus went to all the doctors first. Like us he might have thought, “I have money and I can afford the best doctors and best medicine. If I have to fly to another country to get the operation done or get the doctor, I dont need God now. Why do I need Jesus when I have sufficient money to provide for me.” Even with all the best doctors around, Jairus daughters condition deteriorated day by day. No doctor was able to cure his daughter. Then as the last option he had gone to Jesus, when his daughter died and when nothing of this world could help him. According to me its ok, no matter what circumstances gets us to God its ok. Here Im not saying where you stop doing everything and only except God to do everything. You do your best and God will do the rest. First run to God and place things in His hands and let God guide you what you ought to do and once you receive guidance dont sit idle, but rise up and do it. Many servants in Jairus house told him his daughter was dead, and Jesus even though He is God, He cant do anything. Many believe such lies. They take the doctors opinion as the last opinion. They think that the experts when they say anything that is final. But that is not the truth. Many might be telling you too the same thing, your things are out of control what can God do? Dont be like the servants of Jairus, but drop in all the negative voices and run to Jesus like Jairus. Only He can turn the impossible situation into possible. Matt 19:26 Bible says, “With men things might be impossible but with God all things are possible.” What doctors and lawyers and experts say as impossible is possible with God. When doctors say that you cant conceive, God says, “Like Sarah and Abraham you will have a child even if you have crossed your age of conception.” When everyone says, “You cant be promoted, God says, “Like David I will promote you to be a king.” God bless you. – Jimsen Thomas & Sneha Jimsen
