#TrueMadridista The Conundrum of Attaining the Perfect Balance - Real Madrid James Rodriguezs performance yesterday against USA was very impressive playing behind the striker. He truly seems to play his best in that position, but as a result of the abundance of talents Ancelotti has at his disposal James Rodriguez has been forced to play a role he isnt all too familiar with on the left wing. This has led James Rodriguez recently to forge a complaint about not playing closer to goal which he feels is his best position. Seems like Carlo Ancelotti was able to attain Balance but he did it without Gareth Bale. During Gareth Bales Injury Carlo Ancelotti deployed a 4-4-2 Formation with; ●●●●●● Ronaldo ●●●● Benzema ●●●●● ●Isco ●● Toni Kroos ●● Modric ●● James ●● ● Marcelo ● Ramos ●● Pepe ●●● Carvajal●● ●●●●●●●●●●● Casillas ●●●●●●●●●●●●●● And with this formation and starting line up Ancelotti found Balance, Madrid breezed through their matches and raked in the highest number of goals in top flight with an Average of 3 goals per game, They were able to convincingly beat Liverpool and Barcelona. With this line up and formation you have a team that can maintain possession effectively and sting on a counter attack (Evident Against Barcelona) - James Rodriguez who feels a lot more comfortable playing from the right wing as oppose to playing from the left, Filled in perfectly during Bales Absence - Both him and Isco put in a lot of defensive effort on opposite wings and contribute immensely to maintaining and retaining Ball Possession, unlike Gareth Bale who does little defensively and is more of a transition player. Gareth Bales return saw Him get a goal and assist aiding the team to a 5-1 thrashing of Rayo Vallecano, but Real Madrid didnt play as well as they did in the previous game, Balance was missing as James Rodriguez was shifted to a role he doesnt find comfortable playing on the left wing and Isco who is one of Madrids best players when it comes to possession was sent to the bench. This has caused several Madridistas to opt for Isco ahead of Gareth Bale for a starting position. But the Real Conundrum is, which formation perfectly suits everyone in the team? a 4-2-3-1? Lets take a look at a 4-2-3-1 formation. ●●●●●●●●●●●● Benzema ●●●●●●●●●●●●● ●● Ronaldo ●●●● James ●●●●● Bale ●●●●● ●●●●●●● Toni Kroos ●●●● Modric ●●●●●●● ●Marcelo ●●● Ramos ●● Pepe ●● Carvajal●● ●●●●●●●●●●●● Casillas ●●●●●●●●●●●● The 4-2-3-1 Formation sees everyone playing in a position theyre pretty much comfortable with. But does it depict Balance? Modric and Toni Kroos are not the best ball winners and would need support defensively. Thats the support James and Isco provides for them from the width in a 4-4-2 Formation, But would Ronaldo and Bale be selfless enough to put in defensive effort from the wings? Would they be willing to back track opposing wingers? For Gareth Bale it should be easier considering the fact that he played LFB at Tottenham, but that is a position he hasnt played for a long time and would need considerable time to get mentally accustomed to back tracking wingers once more. Despite the fact that Real Madrid are winning games effortlessly - Coach Ancelotti still has a problem selecting the most appropriate starting XI and most adequate formation to perfectly accommodate the abilities of his players when theyre all present and fit. So the question is thrown to the Madridistas or any Football loving fan who cares to share his opinion - What is the best selection and formation for Real Madrid? #Madridista #ManagingMadrid
