Truly overwhelmed by the response that I have received on Maa ki Diary introductory post. Heres something I wanted to clarify, since I have been receiving messages from friends asking me if they can email their stories to me. The stories in the book wont be fictional, but will be real stories - memoirs of mothers who want to talk about their experiences as a mother, and what they have understood of life and society after being a mother, or through their mothers. It will also have men talking about their mothers and mothers of their children. The book is something between a commentary and a memoir - but strictly non-fiction, which I will write in the form of chapters basis those conversations and experiences, but not without the approval of people who share their stories. Apologies if I miscommunicated through my earlier FB status. I hope this is helpful enough! Also, the status messages (and the email correspondences/conversations/phone calls) may be in English, but the book will be in Hindi. :-)
