“Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not to your own - TopicsExpress

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 I learned yesterday that these are the favorite bible verses of Trayvon Martin’s mother, Sybrina Fulton, and they also pretty much sum up what I write about every day in these posts. Why God decided to have her son die and choose for her to be his mother, who is left to deal with this tragedy, we will never know. I’ve learned that we will never understand God’s ways, but we just have to trust that whatever He wants for us is best for us. I love the following from my meditation book: “My child, beware of disputing about high matters, and of the hidden judgments of God: why this man is so forsaken, and that other is raised to so great grace; or why this person is so much afflicted and that other so highly exalted. These things are beyond the reach of human understanding, neither is any reason or discourse competent to investigate the judgments of God… for they are incomprehensible to human understanding.” What can we learn from this? Hopefully, to trust God with all our hearts even when bad stuff happen to us. For the President to comment about this case and start a whole national conversation about race and what it’s like to be a black man in America, made me think of all the times I’ve been guilty of locking my doors when I saw a black man approaching. “In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.” Like I’ve written many times before, I’ve learned to slow down, calm down and listen to God as to where He would have me to go! I don’t make a move without having a conversation with Him first. I pay attention to my feelings and I allow God to direct my path one step at a time, and He hasn’t let me down yet, my guys, as I always go with the decision that brings me peace when I think about it! And I just trust… that whatever God wants for me is best for me! Rejoice and trust God always! Live kindly, love extravagantly, forgive quickly and let everything you do be pleasing to God. WE GO WITH GOD!
