Trusting without tracing! Job 13:15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him. What most would honestly wish of life is, if we could live without the rules, yet this is the most dangerous state that could ever be. I always hate to wait for the traffic, stand in the queues, be told to sign another paper and so list goes on. But in the proximity of your life going to an end like a play showing the last scene, you will come to realise that certains things just didnt happen. The Psalmist says it better the way I wouldnt have ever wanted to hear him say, yet I loved him for saying now than then. Psalms 119:65 Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O LORD, according unto thy word. 119:67 Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word. 119:71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes. In reality, faith is not needed when everything is falling right in their places. Faith is what it should be when the thorn still sticks in your flesh and three times you have asked the Lord to deliver you from it and His only answer is: My grace is sufficient! Meaning yes I know it but you must drink that cup. This is walking on a tight rope across the cliff. Maintaining your integrity when all odds break loose against you. 2 Corinthians 12:7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. 12:8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 12:10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christs sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Though hard to admit, but sometimes life struggles can be so tricky. What these two guys are saying you can only properly grasp when you are in your finishing line where you thought you shouldnt need to hear of them, since you should have heard them from the get on your marks, get ready and go.... But here you learn them after throwing the towel and the curtains are down. Have you ever tried to trust Him when you cannot trace Him? Maybe you say that life has cheated on you. Job did, Jesus went through it going to pray over the same thing thrice and still finally drinking from the cup, the apostle Paul did, yet the thorn remained in his flesh. Now therefore what do we do when we cannot trace him? Just trust Him!
