Truth #5: Only the shallow and weak-minded benefit from the generic, pretentious, and feel-good advice given on the page. Its common sense that posting a confession is just a cry for attention that ultimately results in a compliment or advice.. essentially, Evergreen Confession is just a place for people to fish for compliments, however shallow they are.. The impersonal advice and compliments really do show the deterioration of this generations capacity for empathy. People are reduced to dogs; instead of barking, its confessions; instead of petting(or whatever dog owners do to comfort their dogs), its giving such superficial support. Is the advice-giver not cynical in that he thinks that he can just freely give out such impersonal advice, as if people are simple-minded animals? In having the audacity to self-proclaim that he is actually helping? What temerity. As if one can really understand a persons feelings from a simple block of text.. Admin D: Exactly.
