Truths, Half truths, Deception and Hypocrisy: You indiscriminately bomb and kill hundreds of helpless children, women and old people; blast and blow up civilian homes, hospitals, schools, mosques and recreation centers and want to convince the world that all this is done in the name of self defence? And yet the world looks on and decline to condemn this heinous acts and instead feebly request that you exercise self restraint. In another part of the world, a woman is imprisoned with her new born baby and condemned to death for allegedly abandoning her Islamic faith and marrying a Christian man. Yet that same State in jubilation announces to the world that it has influenced and persuaded many Christians who have now converted to Islam during the month of Ramadan. I wonder what happen to Surat Al-Baqarah [verse 256] -There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] religion??? Now then appears the new cadre of African leaders who readily condemn colonialism and blame all of Africa’s woes on the West and now talk about “finding African solutions to African problems”. Yet these leaders plunder and loot their national coffers and keep the loot in Western Banks; imprison, torture and kill political opponents and dissenting voices; fuel tribal and religious conflicts and reduced their people to abject poverty and yet they talk about pan- africanism. God Help Us. Just my personal thoughts this Sunday morning
