Try fixing the statements by replacing government with god (and equivalent terms in appropriate places) and see how those promoting this agenda react. It also makes you realize these people arent really against the idea of God, they just want government to take the place of God. Of course, following this logic, they must also conclude that certain people are infallible, and that government is completely inhabited by those infallible people.
