Trying to take care of stray and feral cats takes a strong heart. Sunny didnt want to come in this morning so we let him eat outside. This evening, though, he came out of the shelter and was moving more slowly than usual. We tried to close the door 3 times and he ran out each time. So while he was eating outside, I picked him up and brought him in. (I had picked him up once before.) He spent the next 20 minutes warming up, meowing, not eating. He calmed down when I pet him. After he was inside a little while he seemed to be moving okay and normally. I checked him over. I was ready to stay down there all night with him if I had to. But he became more and more agitated. He started trying to climb the door and walls. So hubby and I let him out again. He ate when we set the food outside. I want to do this again tomorrow...if hell come in. I want him to realize its warmer inside and hell be safe and well open the door again for him. It was so hard to let him go outside but I was afraid hed really hurt himself if we kept him in.
