Tucked away between the liquor store and a coming soon performance lube and tire there is a little place called Grassland Coffee LLC. A total gem in the middle of Elgin Main street. They brew fresh bold and clean tasting coffee! They also have cinnamon rolls, French Toast, Bagels and Biscuits with BACON gravy, yes I said Bacon gravy, YUM....I have to say it again YUM! Free wifi , comfy seating area complete with sofa and coffee table, as well as dinning tables. This little coffee shop in Elgin offers an atmosfere between Big city and Industrial art meets small town goodness . Everything adding to the ambiance from the homemade Coffee drips to the industrial art lighting covers! If you have not checked it out yet it is a must see and taste here in our fair town of Elgin! However I will warn you with free wifi, I am gonna take that sofa seat so you better hurry lol! Four and a half stars only because they dont have LOX!
