Tuesday 16th September 2014 Canada,NWT. Enterprise Lisas place motel - HWY1 highway of heroes to rest area 41km south of Enterprise. Distance 41.2KM connect.garmin/activity/593139383 Glamping tonight! As mentioned in yesterdays post, Claud and lisa offered me the use of their caravan for the night. I arrived at the rest area/gravel pit (the road work crews have an aggregate store here) not long before Claud arrived pulling the caravan to be my home for the night! Inside the van I found a huge bowl of stew, which will be enough for tomorrows dinner as well as filling my boots tonight (too tasty to throw away I tell you! Lisa is the hostest with the mostest!) It might only be 41km down the road, but in order to put this van where I need it Claud has to drive 164km! As he drove here and back home tonight and then in the morning has to do the same all over again, I really cant thank them enough for their out of this world generosity. I found todays run tough, I left later than planned and so had to push the pace which was difficult as my whole body, especially hip flexors, lower back and Achilles felt incredibly stiff following two days off the road. Its also tough emotionally once youve been stationary for more than a day, especially if that times spent with people making you feel like your part of the family to switch the gears back to being comfortable/focused with complete solitude again, I will be fine in a couple days and back in the groove but a day or two of great company really leaves you soft for a while. Ok, Ive been daydreaming of sleep all day!
