Tuesday, August 20th – We have been asked to Honor Korean/Vietnam Veteran John Nicholas Hillesheim by standing a flag line and escorting him to his final resting place. Rally at St Gianna Beretta Molla Parish, 1421 New Road, Northfield at 9:30am. Flag line in place by 9:45am on Tuesday, August 20th. Viewing is from 10-11am, at which time there will be a service at 11am. After the service, there will be a motorcycle escort to Altantic County Veterans Cemetery. A Navy veteran of 22 years, he served in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a retired Chief Petty Officer and the recipient of the Vietnam Campaign Medal, Navy Commendation Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. He was also a retired bartender and loved golf and gardening. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Dolores (nee Lynskey), daughter Donna Ann and sons Jack and Eric. John said,” I lived my life to the fullest, I had a good ife, I travelled, had a beautful wife, three great kids, 16 beautiful grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. I am ready to go.” A viewing will be held from 10am-11am on Tuesday, August 20th at St Gianna Beretta Molla Parish, 1421 New Road, Northfield where Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am. Interment will follow at Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Estell Manor. Arrangements by the Georg H.
