Tuesday I attended as follower a class with Rina and Nadim. First of all, I can definitely recommend their classes. R&N have different and sometimes contrasting ideas about tango than I do, both in attitude and technique, they are competent teachers and pull out an extremely clean and elegant tango. Taking the class as a male follower was an interesting experience. Most men were good sports and good leaders, it was fun to feel how different each lead was (another point of merit towards the teachers). Only a guy kept danceplaining, telling me how to keep my position, weight, posture. He had a bad breath and had without question the worst lead, way too forceful; he would be better focusing on his flaws rather than on others. My fellow tangueros, please dont be that guy.
