Tuesday there was so much happening at the Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce luncheon that it will take two posts to cover! I had such a wonderful time. First, again congratulations to Sen. Ferrell Haile for receiving the Champion of Commerce Award from the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce. Next, the Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce Foundation awarded Union University $5,000 for the Leadership Academy which is now in its third year! Here is Dr. Lee receiving the check. Congratulations Dr. Lee and thank you Chamber for your generosity. Lastly, two great women from Goodwill, Ms. Ashley Fowler (L) and Ms. Chrissy Draughon. They are actually with Goodwills Career Solutions, which is a job placement agency - because they are a non-profit, it costs neither the employer nor the employee to use their service. No, it is not just for jobs within Goodwill - and it is not just for the disabled. Right now they have a range (from entry level to professional) of positions they are looking to find matches for. I actually referred a friend of mine to them before I left the parking lot. Also, thank you ladies for the Christmas ornaments.
