Tuesdays Inspirational Thought: I can vividly remember in the hood where I grew up in Brooklyn, NY there was a playground in the back of the complex (projects) we lived in. My friends and I would hang out there and talk and play and just chill out. It was fun and at that point it was the best. That was until we got old enough for mom and Pop to take us for the first time to Coney Island Amusement park. WOW!!! It made the playground look so small and infantile. Then eventually we went to Six Flags, Great Adventure. However, it took some maturing to get to where I could appreciate and enjoy the amusement park over the playground. Whenever I get to go back home (Brooklyn) sometimes I visit that old playground and see some of the same friends from back in the day hanging out there just chillin. Hmmm. Learning that everyone who may go with you wont necessarily GROW with you. Some people have decided to settle for an arrested development and have stopped growing and evolving in their life and in their walk with the Lord. They prefer to stay where they are and criticize anyone who dares step past where they are. They will confuse your EVOLUTION with REVOLUTION and your growth will be seen as an attack or maybe even arrogance. You see its not that I dont like the playground or that I think its bad, or beneath me...Im just past it. IT SERVED ITS PURPOSE FOR WHERE I WAS IN MY DEVELOPMENT. This happens in relationships, organizations, churches etc. Be determined this day that you will not let the arrested development of others keep you at the playground when the Lord is calling you to amusement park faith. #EVOLVE ##GOonandGROWon ###Theyllhavetocriticizeyoufromtheplayground
