#Tugende is a Luganda word which literally means lets go. This is a phrase that we all use once were on a boda-boda and are ready to go. I work with a company called #Tugende Ltd and we help boda-boda riders own a a motor cycle through a hire-purchase basis(loan basis). How does it work? For starters, a rider should have a stage card, an introduction letter from his LC 1 chairman, 3 passport photos and most importantly, he/she must have registered with KCCA (if hes a rider in one of Kampalas divisions) Step 2: The rider will go through 3 lecture sessions on terms & conditions , security & customer care and finally financial management. These sessions are aimed at making our riders unique from their other counterparts who never went through the #Tugende process. Step 3: Our field team will go to vet the rider at his stage and home. Sttep 4: rider gets bike and starts to make weekly payments; if findings qualify him/her to get the bike.
