To participate call 0211-224350 ========== The question deserving a response is ‘Are Children’s and young people’s Voices being heard?’ This perhaps is the basis upon which this show is pegged as children and other vulnerable communities continue to cry for space. ======== Last week, Zambian youths across the ten provinces participated in commemorating the Youth Day which annually falls on 12th March. The 2014 National Youth Day was held on a Wednesday, 12th march 2014 on the theme: -“Promoting Youth Mainstreaming for National Sustainable Development. In Lusaka, youths took the traditional march from the Civic Centre to the Freedom Statue, and Vice-President Dr Guy Scott and Youth and Sports Minister Chishimba Kambwili officiated.. Dr Scott represented President Michael Chilufya Sata’s speech pledging the Patriotic Front’s commitment to empowering young people. ======== On last week’s show, we hosted of Zambian Association of Literacy (ZALIT) Deputy Executive Director and Co-Founder Nora Nyirenda and a colleague who stressed the importance of investing in children and young people. Ms Nyirenda expressed a desire for society to offer appropriate interventions that will genuinely empower children and young people with access to education and health services. During the panel discussion and phone interaction with listeners, emphasis to enact a people-driven constitution was highlighted as a guarantee for better life. ============ Today, Pan African Radio 105.1FM brand-were-“All people, are proud and Free!!!
