Tunnel Museum honoring soldiers of the Bosnian War 92-95, and their bravery to bring in supplies. Serbs had city surrounded for years while the U.N. occupied the airport for humanitarian supply missions. Serbs were not allowed to destroy airport yet snipers picked off Bosnians looking to get supplies from other cities beyond the Olympic mountains. A tunnel was dug complete with electric and gas lines. I dined with a coworker that made the 500m tunnel journey amid 3 feet of water and filth with 75 pounds of military gear and only 5 foot ceiling. The UN arms embargo and Serbs cutting off electric and gas meant this tunnel was the only source of ammunition and utilities for over a hundred thousand Bosniaks for defense and warmth.
