A gaping wound like this - massive slash across the entire torso - should have left this entire area drenched in ogre blood. And not a drop around. Not one. I wonder why. A creature this massive could not have been drained by any known being, correct? No vampire could possibly consume this much blood. No. This was not a feeding. Ogre blood is toxic. A vampire would become fatally poisoned if they drank it. Besides, there are no bite marks on the demon ogre. Then what could have done this in battle? There are no signs a fight transpired here. No impressions in the ground to indicate so. No broken branches on the nearby brush. Nothing. You are right. This was done quickly and skillfully. Whoever killed this Legion member did so with one devastating strike. Thats impossible. Not even Vega could have done this, and hes the greatest holy warrior alive. ... Wait. Why are you smiling? You are thinking inside the box, hunter. Step outside the Society roster. Who else could have done this? You think Christopher did this? Impossible. He may be the next Nephilim, but even he does not possess the ability to annihilate a member of the Legion. But Christopher did kill an angel. True. But an angel is a low-level member of Heavens army. The Legion are the demon ogre equivalent to Archangel Michael or Archangel Raphael in Heaven, but made of scaly flesh and poisonous blood. A regular angel would be no match for them. Did Uriel do this? Yes. But not Archangel Uriel. You just said Uriel did this. I did. But not the one you think. I am lost. Naturally. ... Sorry... Listen. Sochi, as you have already deduced, possesses enormous power. Power beyond that of any being, natural or supernatural. And his weapon contains an unparalleled amount of spiritual abilities that are difficult to understand. His weapon vaporizes blood? ... kind of. You have got to be kidding me. Look, its all a bit technical and the explanation is complex. Long story short, Sochi perfected the ultimate weapon and wields it masterfully. Now, one guess as to what Sochi named his sword. Uriel. You got it. Sochi struck down this member of the Legion. Uriel absorbed every drop of blood inside the ogre and transfused the spiritual energy into Sochi. Thats why there is no blood in sight. I dont know if I should be excited or terrified. Sochi must know about Christopher. He must be tracking him as well. I knew it! Christopher has drawn out our savior! The presence of another Nephilim spirit has brought Sochi back to us! Great. Another person to race against that will probably kill us the first chance he gets. Have faith, hunter. Your fears are misplaced. We must continue on! I dont think Ive ever seen you this happy. Youve never seen me realize I was right and the Pope was wrong. Now lets go!
