User search by typing key word in search box. 2. Search engines store webpages in their database on basis of keywords. 3. Search engine matches keywords and returns results. 4. Users sees highlighted keywords in SERPs result content. So, keyword is basic of search technology. Types of Keywords: There is a large population on earth, they have different thinking, different languages, different needs and different way to find something. We cannot discuss large but I shall give an example to explain all this. Broad Keywords Specific Keywords Long Tail keywords Unique and branded keywords Explanation with Simple example: Keyword: Education It is a broad keyword because it is used worldwide and many categories of education also, so if you search for education wide results display, schools, universities, books, book sellers, education stationary and more more…. Very wide. BUT “IT Education” is a little narrow and specific to IT. In this keywords those results display Only related to IT institute, IT training, IT courses and more……. Worldwide. “IT Education India” getting more narrow and show results related to IT education in India only, Indian universities, institute and courses, publishers etc…. “IT education Gurgaon”, Gurgaon is a city in India (popular for IT industry in India and World-wide) In this keyword, we are specifying IT education in Gurgaon only so, it is specific keyword. So, we learn how to getting broad “Education” to specific “IT Education in Gurgaon” keyword. Q: how to make long tail keyword from broad to specific and use of long tail keywords? A: Example: Long tail Keyword: SEO training institute in Gurgaon Contains keywords: SEO, training, institute, Gurgaon Long tail keywords target those segment of online audience which is related to your business and need, attracting extra traffic not related to your business do not make any revenue and effort get wasted. Unique or Branded keywords are those which represent specific products only related to that company.
