Twas 5 days before Christmas and all thru the house not a creature would stir cept maybe a mouse The stockings were packed away in storage with care in hopes theyd be hung before Santa gets there Presents are bought but nothing is wrapped looking at calendar with reality Im slapped Working my butt off trying to clean in hopes that I can decorate with bright red and green My belly might shake like a bowl full of jelly But Im hardly a jolly elf This year has brought much sadness and Im just not myself If I turn with a jerk Ill probably break something else and oh that does hurt I guess I should get back to work instead of making rhymes as Christmas is coming and Im running outta time
