Twas the night before school starts And the kids were all giddy Moms laying out clothes So the girls could look priddy The boys in the bathtub Scrubbing off summer fun The dads in their chairs Like nothing had to be done Then school morning came And oh what a clatter Mom rushed down the hall To see what was the matter Ones missing her straightener Ones make-ups all wrong 5 minutes till bus time And the boys snoring strong One cant find his new shoes Two argue and fuss This first days of school May be the end of all of us Come Kaitlyn, come Kailee, Come Baily, Come Kristen. Come Cody, come Corey, Come Kaden and Tristen Out the front door Down the drive to the stop Or get in the car We must fly like the cops they are all safe at school With a wave and a kiss Only one hundred eighty more days Just like this Now back to the house Moms wiping a tear Hope you all have a safe And a happy school year.
