Twenty years ago, this very night, I couldnt sleep as anxious about starting a new job. My beautiful mum had died suddenly, my final UCD exams were just finished and I was distraught and bewildered. Of course, two decades on, Im still standing and forever grateful for the compassion I received from the people who welcomed me into OPW that sad summer. It was the beginning of a beautiful relationship.
