Twin successes for AAP in the Irrigaton Scam and the Chaggan Bhujbal case Bombay High Court accepts AAPs plea and appoints a Special Investigation Team to probe Chhagan Bhujbals kickbacks in irrigation contracts Chief Justice Mohit Shah and Justice Colabawala of the Bombay High Court rule today that all evidence and complaints against Chhagan Bhujbal submitted by Aam Aadmi Party must be thoroughly investigated and they have appointed a Special Inquiry Team comprising of the Head of the Enforcement Directorate and the DG of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, for the same. The SIT has to investigate and file a report to the court in 8 weeks. AAP welcomes this judgement which came at 6.30 pm after a day of grueling arguments and counter arguments. Advocate Anturkar made a strong case for the petitioners and said that it was shame that the case had been neglected by the authorities for the last year and a half. AAP salutes and applauds its leader Anjali Damanias pursuit of the case. We are glad that there is time bound investigation in the brazen case of loot and crony capitalism. In April 2013, Anjali Damania had exposed the massive corruption in awarding contracts by the then PWD minister Chaggan Bhujbal. AAP Maharashtra had complained to all authorities with evidence that after awarding of contracts many construction companies had made payments to Bhujbal family trusts and family owned companies and these needed to be investigated. The contractors included DB Realty, India Bulls, Ashoka Build con and others. Maharashtra Government agrees to hold independent inquiry into the Irrigation Scam in response to AAP PIL In the Irrigation scam case filed by Anjali Damania of AAP along with other activists, the state government submitted that they were planning to conduct an independent inquiry into all the Kondhane and Chanera dams and requested time from the court to work out the modalities. The court advised them to expand the scope of the inquiry to include all 15 dams mentioned in the petition and gave the state government up to 20th January, 2015 to work out the modalities. It also advised the state to maintain status quo in the projects and refrain from making any payments in the interim. AAP Maharashtra welcomes this move as we have always demanded a court appointed inquiry. We hope that the promised inquiry begins soon and it is closely monitored by the Court. आम आदमी पक्षाला दुहेरी यश छगन भुजबळांच्या चौकशीसाठी एसआयटी बसवण्याचा उच्च न्यायालयाचा आदेश आम आदमी पक्षाने छगन भुजबळ यांच्या विरोधात सादर केलेला पुरावा आणि तक्रारी यांची सखोल चौकशी व्हावी असा आदेश काल मुंबई उच्च न्यायालयाचे मुख्य न्यायाधीश मोहीत शहा आणि न्यायमूर्ती कोलाबावाला यांनी दिला आहे. यासाठी त्यांनी विशेष चौकशी समिती (एसआयटी) नेमली असून त्यात एनफोर्समेंट डिरेक्टोरेटचे प्रमुख आणि भ्रष्टाचार विरोधी पथकाचे डीजी यांची नेमणूक करण्यात आली आहे. ८ आठवड्यांमध्ये एसआयटीने आपला अहवाल सादर करावा असा आदेशही न्यायालयाने दिला आहे. काल दिवसभर न्यायालयामध्ये चाललेल्या दाव्या- प्रतिदाव्यांनंतर संध्याकाळी ६.३० वाजता दिल्या गेलेल्या या आदेशाचं आम आदमी पक्ष स्वागत करत आहे. ऍड. अंतुरकर यांनी याचिकाकर्त्यांची बाजू अतिशय समर्थपणे मांडली आणि गेले दीड वर्ष या प्रकरणाकडे संबंधित अधिकार्‍यांनी दुर्लक्ष केली हे लाजिरवाणं आहे असं म्हटलं. आम आदमी पक्षाच्या नेत्या अंजली दमानिया या प्रकरणात याचिकाकर्त्या आहेत आणि त्यांच्या अथक परिश्रमांमुळेच हे शक्य झालं असल्यामुळे आम आदमी पक्ष त्यांना सलाम करत आहे. एप्रिल २०१३मध्ये अंजली दमानिया यांनी सार्वजनिक बांधकाम मंत्री छगन भुजबळ यांनी कंत्राटं देताना केलेल्या प्रचंड भ्रष्टाचाराच्या विरोधात आवाज उठवला होता. ‘आप’च्या महाराष्ट्र विभागाच्या वतीने या संदर्भातले पुरावेही संबंधित अधिकार्‍यांसमोर सादर केलेले होते. भुजबळ यांनी ही कंत्राटं दिल्यानंतर त्यापैकी अनेक कंत्राटदारांनी भुजबळ यांच्या कुटुंबाच्या ट्रस्ट्सना आणि कुटुंबाच्या कंपन्यांना पैसे दिल्याचे दिसत असल्यामुळे याची चौकशी व्हावी असं पक्षाचं म्हणणं होतं. कंत्राटदारांमध्ये डीबी रिऍल्टी, अशोका बिल्डकॉन आणि इतर कंपन्यांचा समावेश होता. ‘आप’ने केलेल्या जनहित याचिकेवर स्वतंत्र चौकशी करण्याला महाराष्ट्र सरकारची मान्यता ‘आप’च्या अंजली दमानिया यांनीच न्यायालयात सिंचन घोटाळ्याच्या संदर्भातही याचिका केलेली असून काल त्याबाबत झालेल्या सुनावणीदरम्यान राज्य सरकारने कोंढाणे आणि चानेरा येथील सर्व धरणांबाबत स्वतंत्र चौकशी करण्याचा आपण विचार करत असल्याचं सांगितलं आणि त्याची आखणी करण्यासाठी न्यायालयाकडून वेळ मागून घेतला. याचिकेमध्ये नमूद केलेल्या सर्वच्या सर्व १५ धरणांचा या चौकशीमध्ये समावेश करावा असं न्यायालयाने सरकारला सांगितलं असून २० जानेवारी २०१५पर्यंत सरकारला मुदत दिली आहे. दरम्यान, सरकारने या प्रकल्पांबाबत जैसे थे भूमिका घ्यावी आणि मधल्या काळात कोणतीही पेमेंट्स करू नयेत असा आदेशही न्यायालयाने दिला आहे.‘आप’ महाराष्ट्र न्यायालयाच्या या भूमिकेचं स्वागत करत आहे. ही चौकशी लवकरात लवकर सुरू होईल आणि त्यावर न्यायालयाची बारीक नजर राहील अशी आम आदमी पक्षाची अपेक्षा आहे.
