Two Columbus Public Schools Destination Imagination teams have qualified for the 2014 Destination Imagination Global Finals to be held May 21-24 at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. To raise funds to offset their expenses, they will be sponsoring a concession stand before and during the CHS Spectrum and Sound Music Program and Art Show on Tuesday, May 13. The concession stand will open at 6 p.m. and serve a $5 meal, which will include a hotdog, chips & bottled beverage. One team is the Columbus Middle School Structure team of Aeriel Frey, Paige Jeffryes, Lexi Jeffryes, Lydia Johnson, Cole Mitchell, Haley Wagoner and Nick Warren. Their team managers are Jim Hanna and Trina Jeffryes. The second team is the CHS Service Learning team of Marina Castaneda, Maria Gonzalez,Estrella Urenda, Alma Franco, Ami Parra and Katie Schwebach. Their team manager is Val Wallin.
