Two Pride related stories: One: I always love seeing Jeremy Norton on the fire rig at the end of the parade. Today he wore a little pink hat. Two: (do not read if youre easily offended by slang terms for genitalia): When we lived in Boston, I was a personal care attendant for a dyke activist who had spinal muscular atrophy. She couldnt breathe unassisted (she had a trache with a breathing tube and respirator, etc.) and really could only move her thumb, which was how she operated her electric wheelchair. Anyway, one year for a Pride she was marching in, she had me paint a sign that said, Trached Dykes can eat pussy without coming up for air, and then had me attach it to her chair. It slayed everyone we passed, and her face was priceless for the whole parade. Shes gone now. I will always remember her fierce sense of humor.
