Two days of visiting and being visited. Am absolutely wiped out now. I felt it was going to be a bit of a trial yesterday to visit Hogins house without Hogin. I kept seeing him everywhere ( not literally of course ), and it was very sad and when I opened my Christmas card...well I cried. It was a photograph of Hogin as a tiny puppy, the Christmas we very first looked after him, in the snow. Its one I shall frame for my Hall of Fame. :) Bless him. He will always be in my heart. Today we were visited by Sid and Sally and their Mum Patricia Hadfield and we all had lunch together with LittleJack at the Red Lion in Evenley. We had such a good time, we shall do it all again in between Christmas and New Year. LJ behaved impeccably throughout, as a good dog should and the pub was staggered at how well behaved they were even with all the noise of the Christmas parties going on around us. DD and Samsy went with Daddy to an interesting garden and when we got back to the house, they were already home ( having been playing in the compost heap). A lovely reunion ensued. Here is Samsy trying to explain to Daddy that his borlie has got stuck in the ice on the pond. On a couple of occasions, I felt he was about to tip into the icy water!!
