Two funerals, same day, same time; different families, different locations (one being at our home church)...Made visitation for one and services for the second. Afterwards, Ray Barfield (my wonderful hubby) and I spent some quiet time at Jason Nicholas Barfields memorial. Today was a reminder just how quickly life changes. Tomorrow isnt promised, yesterday is gone. Its like I tell Savannah Barfield (and myself); take a moment each morning before your day gets started to reflect back on the day before and strive to make the present day better than the day before...MAKE IT EVEN BETTER!!!! Be positive; leave the negativity behind along with all the drama. Live life to its fullest, make each moment count, create memories (for they will last a lifetime), live without regrets, be an example to others and live by those examples. Never let the ones you love forget just how much you do love them (we love to hear those simple words from time to time); say it and show it OFTEN!!!! And live by this simple little phrase that my son Jason honestly lived by, that being...EVERYDAY IS A GOOD DAY...Never thought that such a simple phrase could hold such meaning...Time to get out of that funk I have found myself in lately (actually for sometime now)...Life is a gift, cherish it...
