Two great workshops coming up at Sarratt Art Studio... #1-Creators Boot Camp (Workshop 1): Get Online in 2 Hours Saturday, September 14 or Saturday, September 21 10:00 am – Noon Instructor: Alex Curtis Tuition:$75.00 This is a workshop for any creative who wants to build a real presence online and be more entrepreneurial. It’s a hands-on workshop, so bring your laptop and smartphone! Your instructor, Alex,will show you how to setup and use off-the-shelf online services as a cohesive unit. Specifically, we’ll explain how to setup your: – Domain Name – Email – Analytics – Website / Blog – Social Media – Mailing List – Online Store Most of the recommended services are freely available, so (besides the cost of your own domain name) you’ll have little out-of-pocket expenses. Learn why it’s important for creators to apply their creative juices toward their business. Alex will also discuss your creative and business goals, developing a plan, and putting a system in place. Come with: *your laptop; *a general working knowledge of the Internet and how to connect your computer to WiFi; *your existing email, social media, and domain name accounts and passwords; and *a credit card to pay for a domain name (if you don’t already have one) and optional services….and be ready to have fun! It’s a hands-on workshop, so bring your laptop and mobile devices! Alex will explain why it’s important for creators to apply their creative juices toward their business. He will also talk about exploring your creative and business goals, developing a plan, and putting a system in place to:- create and distribute your content – engage with fans and customers;- offer your creativity for sale; and – track your progress Building on a set of off-the-shelf online services, you’ll begin to use them as a cohesive unit. You will learn how to use your system to funnel an audience from creation to engagement to commerce.
