Two hour coach ride to Gibraltar and two customs later, we were on - TopicsExpress

Two hour coach ride to Gibraltar and two customs later, we were on the rock! Our tour guide had two mini buses for us and showed us the whole island. There are about 30,000 people living there mostly British. The straight is only 14 miles wide so they have a navy base there for strategic reasons. It was a bit hazy so our view of Africa was a bit more obscured than it was yesterday when we were in the mountains. We ventured to the end of Europe, down into St. Michaels cave to see stalactites, onto a ridge to visit the wild monkeys, and up a cable car to the top of the rock for great views and more mischievous monkeys! One jumped on Peters back (insert joke here) and one sifted through a purse to grab an apple! However, I learned NOT to try taking a pic with an eating monkey as he thinks your going to steal from him. :-0 Overall, it was great fun! Upon our return to the hotel, they had a couple hours of free time to go to the beach. Dinner at 8, followed by packing & an early flight in the am (leaving around 6:30am for the airport in Malaga). Fly to Madrid & connect to our international flight to NYC around noon. The wifi is terribly slow here so Ill be posting pics from either airport or after we get home.
