(Pic: Sabelo Gwebu) SOCCER – IN what will come as good news for the national team Sihlangu, their 2015 AFCON qualifiers opponents Sierra Leone will miss their Italy based midfielder Rodney Strasser and Turkey based striker Mohamed ‘Poborsky’ Bangura for Sunday’s clash due to sickness. Information gathered yesterday can reveal that the two European based key players have been ruled out of the Leone Stars’ Orange Morocco 2015 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying match against Sihlangu at the Somhlolo Stadium on Sunday due to illness. As if that is not enough, striker Alhaji ‘Andriano’ Kamara is also doubtful as it has been reported that he sustained a hamstring injury during his side Norrkoping’s match in the Swedish top tier league last weekend. According to sierraleonefootball, the trio were among 13 foreign based players invited for the first round first leg encounter by coach McKinstry. Meanwhile, nine players and five officials left Sierra Leone’s capital city of Freetown on Wednesday for the country to honour the encounter. The players included three foreign based players and they are Middlesbrough’s Kei Ansu Kamara and Turkey based duo of Khalifa Jabbie and Alfred ‘Zagallo’ Sankoh. The home based players are Ibrahim ‘Soja’ Kamara, Yeami Dunya, Fayia Kobba, Nathaniel Tongovula and Ismael Koroma.
