I do not agree with everything caroline glick says here responding to a European automatic-speak that explains why antisemitism and anti israelism is not only permissible - we have to be thankful for it... Because wait for it - we are similar and share a common culture. My culture and history is one of constant ever lasting genocide of Jews by Europeans with short periods of low-violent hatred (like we are seeing today for example). We have to understand that the 50+/- post WWII years of non-violent concealed hatred were a unique phenomenon in 2000 years of persecution, a side effect of killing 6 millions of us. This was probably enough for Europeans to think that again we need to be thankful for allowing them to hate us in a special manner. I totally agree with the sentiment Glick describes. The abusive husband blames the beaten wife and then asks her to thank him for his violence. Have you no shame? Europes liberals are whitewashing guilt from centuries of colonialism with the perfect other. the Jews. They treat Palestinians as native passive victims with no responsibility over anything that is going on here. They treat us as hated colonialists totally forgetting that the vast majority of Jews living here were forced here from Europe or the middle east by a process of mass ethnic cleansing of global proportions all through the 20th century. Now, in countless ways they are trying to eliminate our ability to protect ourselves even in this Ghetto they pushed us into. What would be the next step? Look at the second link and see. But if the Europeans think they are helping in any way to promote peace through encouraging antisemitism through funding it here, in countless ways they are wrong.
