Two long poems from a poetry project I did: Nothing you say can change my mind, I do not have the patience or the time, To waste in the space of your company, I am not laughing at your jokes that are not funny, Today is the day that I can stand you no more, This is my last exit out this door, Mind is focus on a new day, My life desperately needs a lot of clarity, Tears fell each day in your presence, This is the end of our existence, Your calls take up space on my answering machine, I press one button to wipe the slate clean, The end of a relationship is tough to bear, Having peace is a sheet of comfort without compare, Miles ahead of everything I want to see, Now I am realizing why I miss me, Longing for a love like never before, My true passion is what I began to ignore, Always focused on the task at hand, Today is a new day filled with new plans. The future of your moments within your dreams, Is an escape of the daily tasks filled with screams, The open sky is very high, You day dream about a piece of warm apple pie, Before you is a desk filled with questions, Imagination in your mind is calmness without expectations, Daily arguments seem like wars before you, Your imagination sees life as a brand new scene to do, In this play, Your mind takes nothing away, Chaos turns into peace, A scream is a response to a great feast, A pink slip is a new venture, New ways to go in a place of adventure, Positive ways in negative days, Can get you out of your working craze, Open your mind when you have time, To see that you have more to explore, Leaving everyday out that brown door.
