Two men have been hospitalised after disturbing two intruders breaking into a Toongabbie home this morning. About 6.30am (Sunday 20 April 2014) two men, believed to be aged in their 50s-60s, were involved in a confrontation with two people believed to have been breaking into a home on Wentworth Avenue. The men were injured during the altercation, with one man receiving a shoulder injury and the other injuring his arm. Police have been told one of the injured men was a resident of the home that was being broken into and the other was a neighbour who tried to assist. They have both been taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment of injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. Police from Parramatta Local Area Command were contacted and are investigating the incident. They are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
