Two months ago I was released from the hospital following my major surgery. Okay, I was back in a few days later with my first kidney stone and a major kidney infection. I look back at two months ago when I could just barely walk and stairs were not an option. I have come a long way since then as I am now back to work, have been released from home nursing care as an independent individual, I am driving, and most of all I can do stairs in the house without a problem. With all of this progress I still have a long way to go. My hips are still a bit unsteady and weak at times and I can get very tired going up and down the stairs. Albeit the chemotherapy sometimes knocks me down a few rungs of the ladder but I seem to be tolerating the treatments well so far. I am beating this but taking my time and not pushing to go to quickly. Slow and stray wins the race.
