Two months into the nationwide strike by Academic Staff Union of - TopicsExpress

Two months into the nationwide strike by Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic (ASUP), the union yesterday restated its decision to continue the strike action until the federal government meet its demand. Also, on Monday, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) commenced an indefinitely nationwide strike on the non-implementation of the 2009 agreement sign with the union by the government. Am much concern here considering the everyday statements by our government that Nigerian graduates are unproductive. Am now wondering the place of government in enhancing the productivity of the workforce of the nation through the standard of her education. With these two strikes in the education sector, do you think that the federal government is serious about reforming our education sector? What is the implication of these strikes on the lecturers, the parents, the students and our standard of education at large? Good morning friends.
