Two of our sweet little girls went to the vet today. Sadly, Allison isnt doing well, and her diabetes is out of control once again which has caused her kidney functions to decline so she now has chronic kidney disease. Thus, she doesnt want to eat because she feels so bad. However, she was anxious to eat a little bit once she returned home after she got some fluids in her. Thus, we are now going to up her units of insulin each day and give her Sub-Qs once a day so that she will hopefully feel better and start eating again on her own. As for Eightball, her mouth cancer had started bleeding once again and had a little infection, so she received an antibiotic shot and a steroid shot. Last time when she received the same two shots, she started feeling much better in a few days, so hopefully, she will this time, too.
