Two places in the Psalms this morning cause my heart to ponder. - TopicsExpress

Two places in the Psalms this morning cause my heart to ponder. Psalm 89:1 says: I will sing of the mercies of the LORD forever; with my mouth will I make known YOUR faithfulness to all generations. I find myself asking the FATHER to convict my heart when my words are not praising HIM. We must consistently ask ourselves, is my mouth making HIS faithfulness known to others? And then as I turned over to Psalm 119:36-37 I see these words that quickly become a prayer: incline my heart to YOUR testimonies, and not to covetousness. Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, and revive me in YOUR way. I wrote in the margin o my Bible: Let my heart long for YOU-LORD JESUS. What do your eyes see that causes your heart to wander into covetousness. You can combat that by using your lips to speak of the faithfulness of your SAVIOR in the moment by moment of daily life. I pray that today you will fill your lips with talk of JESUS and allow HIM to consume your heart with a burning passion to know HIM and to make HIM known to others. This is our highest aspiration! Is it yours?
