Two very different shows this weekend in two places I have played for a combined 150 years (give or take): Utica and Wormtown. Utica. The Beautica!!! The Montbleautica??!? It has certainly felt that way over the years. A lot of pride in that town and dare I say I have felt more love from there than anywhere. This Saturday night Ill be at Nail Creek for the Utica Music and Arts Fest. Solo-acoustic, just like I showed up in town in 2003. Only I have more songs now. Its a late start at 11:30 and my plan is to play until they tell me to stop. Take all of me, you big Beautica. Wormtown. Greenfield, MA. Sunday. Ive been playing the Wormtown fests since Max Creek had only been a band for 33 years. And that was 10 years ago. Nowadays, its 7,000 little worms camped out in the woods. If you dont know, you may just never know. 4:00-6:00 on the main stage. Beau Sasser on keys, John Kimock on drums, Kit Holliday and Lydia Warren on vocals, Danny Mayer on guitar and Primate Fiasco in the mix as well. Rage! Three rehearsals for me today.
