Two very fun Caleb Lack themed events happening in July! ------------------ First, Ill be presenting at this months Disbelief Discourse, co-hosted by the UCO Skeptics and Oklahoma Atheists. On Tuesday, July 15th at 7:30 pm in Education Building 301, Ill do a talk entitled Believers in versus Skeptics of the Paranormal - Whats the (Psychological) Difference? Description below: What makes someone believe in paranormal phenomena? What makes some skeptical of the same? Are there measurable psychological differences between skeptics and believers? Dr. Caleb Lack, associate professor of psychology at the University of Central Oklahoma, will present results from his latest study that will help to answer the questions. Funded in part by the James Randi Educational Foundation, he will discuss cognitive, personality, and mental health differences between paranormalists and rationalists. ------------------ Then, Ill be the guest for Seth Andrews The Thinking Atheist podcast on July 22 at 6 pm, talking bout The Psychology of Belief. We will be covering some of the same ground as one of the videos I did with Seth last year (linked below), but exploring more of the levels of explanation that help answer the question Why does someone believe what they believe? youtu.be/lnMkHB0vNCE ------------------ Hope you can come out or tune in!
