Two weeks ago, a very good South African friend came to visit me, and 10 minutes after he had (for the first time) parked his new great AUDI here in Mozambique, a truck crashed into it… The driver was responsible and looked us up inside the restaurant where we just had ordered our lunch (…welcome to Mozambique, I said to my friend…). The manager of the company that owned the truck, Mr. Paulo Andre of Portuconstroi Lda., was duly insured and very correct. The coordinator of the insurance company, Mr. Ernesto Fabuela of Tranquilidade Mocambique, was also very professional and took full responsibility without discussions. My friend was meanwhile given a rental car and had an absolute minimum of hassle, and no costs whatsoever. The new parts for the repair were correctly ordered and quickly imported, and the tricky repair of this aluminum bodied car was done in an absolutely perfect way when he got the car back today. AND ALL THIS HAPPENED HERE, IN MOZAMBIQUE! ….VIVA!!!
