Tyrone Washington and Keith Coleman of Comcast Technical Operations invite you to join them as a volunteer to make change happen on Friday, April 25, 2014, 8am -3pm during the 13th annual Comcast Cares Day. We will be partnering with Chicago Urban League to promote Student Literacy and Healthy Eating. We are expecting 200 Comcast/NBC Universal employees, family members and friends to participate in this project. Our project will be to attend Harvard Elementary School and Benjamin E. Mays Academy, grades K-3rd, focusing on literacy and good health. At each school a number of volunteers will read to the students in each class room, in addition to providing a health snack. Each student will receive at least one new book, to take home. Also, there will be a raffle for two computers, for parents of a student that attend one of the selected schools, volunteer and participate in the Comcast Cares Day project.
