U.S. Army Garrison Fort A.P. Hill held its annual Suicide Prevention Stand Down Day on Oct. 2 at the Community Activity Center and Garrison commander Lt. Col. David A. Meyer kicked off the event. He was followed by Mili Frank, the Fort Belvoir Suicide Prevention Manager and Katina Oates, Fort Belvoir Employee Assistance Program. Ben Allen, the A.P. Hill Suicide Prevention Coordinator closed the morning briefings. A lunch of hamburgers, hot dogs and grilled chicken followed the briefings and, after lunch, there were a number of opportunities for stress-relief like volleyball, yoga and fishing.
