U.S. Military Scholarship: $2,000- Deadline: April 1, 2014 The CPO Scholarship Fund awards are set aside for dependents of United States Navy Chiefs, Senior Chiefs, and Master Chiefs in any of the following catagories: - Active Duty - Reserve - Retired - Deceased Applicant must be starting their first year of college. Currently, candidates eligible for scholarship awards are spouses and children (natural born, adopted, or stepchildren) of Active, Retired, and Reserve; Chief, Senior Chief and Master Chief Petty Officers. Candidates submitting scholarship applications must be either graduates of accredited high schools (or equivalent educational institution) or have earned a General Equivalency Diploma (GED). Candidates must intend to enter or be accepted to a college or university to complete the curriculum prescribed in order to graduate with an AA, BA, or BS degree. Candidates may also be currently attending a college or university. Scholarship awards shall be made on the basis of scholastic proficiency, character, and all-around ability.
