Kerry Bentivolio, R-Milford, announced that the Government Operations Subcommittee, which is part of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, will hold a field hearing May 6 in Plymouth. Bentivolio is a member of the full committee. In a news release today he said subcommittee Chairman John Mica, R-Fla., had scheduled the hearing to take testimony from Associated Builders and Contractors of Michigan, a trade organization; Superb Custom Homes, a metro Detroit builder, and others. The hearing, scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday at Plymouth Township Hall, 9955 N. Haggarty Rd., is open to the public but participation is limited to the subcommittee and invited witnesses.
