U11s back in action today away at Easington Colliery Whites. After a run of great performances our lads were well up for another tough test against the current league leaders and the team that took the field started well. It was a first half of good football from both sides, some chances either way carved out by good play from talented kids. An enthralling first 30 where the balance of play ebbed and flowed between the teams saw us go in ahead by 1 at the break. At half time we were forced into a bit of a shake up and before the lads had settled wed conceded the equaliser from a corner. Another injury and the shape of the team was disrupted again and we were under the cosh - a second goal conceded poorly from a free kick. The lads got back into the game bit more after that creating some good chances to equalise but it didnt come and again we competed well but towards the end of the we conceded the decider and had to settle for plenty of positives in terms of performance but no points. A great game of football and lots to be proud of as well as a great view of the coast on the way back to the cars.
